I voted this up to show that I feel the exact opposite lol.. Churches should always have the same rights as an individual (at least our constitutional rights). Once those are given (yes, given) away, what more will the ask of us?

I'm with the guy above... A pastor should have the same rights as an indivual to express his opinion. Politics effect our society and one of many goals that a church should have is to better society.

I think that a pastor at a non-profit church should have all the rights to speak about whatevery he/she wants. Other non profits are allowed to issue political positions. Now even though I agree they should be able to do so I don't think a pastor should endorse a canidate. Only preach on what is Biblical and let you decide who you think fits the bill. Thats jsut my 2 cents.
