California’s Proposition 8, which bans gay marriages, was recently approved by voters in the November 4th election. This is not sitting well for gay rights activists who have staged protests and even filed lawsuits in an attempt to overturn it.

This Sunday, in a handful of churches across America, pastors used their pulpits to offer an endorsement for president. They are challenging a 1954 law that prohibits religious organizations that receive tax-deductible donations from endorsing specific candidates.

Yesterday in a rare move House Republicians refused to leave the chambers even after the lights, microphones, and cameras were turned off. They were giving a one-sided debate on allowing off-shore drilling, since Democrats went on vacation without doing so.
